After the stink I made about Suckerpunch, I decided to see The Adjustment Bureau instead. It was a mix between City of Angles and Inception. The Sci-Fi element gives the film a Twilight Zone feel, but what really caries the plot through are the two lovers, David (Matt Damon) and Elise (Emily Blunt). For most of the film your pointer finger and middle finger are intertwined, routing for their love to succeed against all odds. The only thing that would make this film better would be a deeper look into the Bureau. C.S. Lewis’s Screwtape Letters comes to mind. I recommend The Adjustment Bureau—when you leave the theater you’ll take a second glance at anyone wearing a hat.
